Over 100 varieties of pralines, all made from chocolate with 100% pure cocoa butter. All Leonidas boutiques stand for the finest chocolate, freshness and quality at an affordable price. Not for nothing our pralines are so popular among fans of Belgian chocolate.

Leonidas – the royal purveyor

On July 18, 1882, Leonidas Georges Kestekides was born in Anatolia, the beginning of a success story. In 1912 he married the Belgian Joanna Teerlinck and opened a tea room with her in Ghent a year later. In 1924, the company moved to Brussels, where Leonidas opened the Pâtisserie Centrale Leonidas. But one thing remains the same: for the rest of its life, Leonidas will remain in Belgium. In Brussels, Leonidas and his nephew Basilio decide to make the delicacy and luxury of praline an affordable pleasure for anyone and everyone: from the manufacturer directly to the consumer. And even after his demise in 1948, Leonidas’ legacy continues and Leonidas chocolates still delight sweet tooth all over the world with nearly 1250 stores in about 50 countries, including 350 stores in Belgium and 340 in France.

In 2013, Leonidas celebrates 100 chocolaty years. The founder’s “little chocolate laboratory” has gone its way without ever abandoning or losing sight of its values and principles. At Leonidas, freshness and quality are guaranteed. The pralines are made according to traditional methods with only the best ingredients: 100% pure cocoa butter, hazelnuts from Turkey, almonds from Italy, cherries from Périgord, walnuts from Grenoble and Texas. On 15.11.2013, the company Leonidas also reaches the crowning of its 100th anniversary. His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium draws up his first list of “official court suppliers”.
Leonidas is privileged to be among the holders of this honorary title due to the excellent quality and affordable prices of its products.

We give moments of happiness - Kinderhospiz Sterntaler

We at ePralinchen are deeply convinced of the quality of Leonidas pralines and have made it our goal to give people moments of happiness. We therefore want to give happy moments especially to those who are not on the sunny side. For this reason, we support the “Förderverein Kinderhospiz Sterntaler e. V.” founded in 2002. This organization has set itself the goal of accompanying children, adolescents and young adults with life-shortening illnesses on their way. Appreciative interaction with each other, respect, tolerance and openness regardless of religion, origin and ideology are values and guiding concepts of the Sterntaler Children’s Hospice. Their work is based on a holistic concept, which includes the entire family system, so that the admission and care of parents, siblings or other caregivers is also possible. Their pediatric palliative care begins at diagnosis and can continue for weeks, months and even years.
Family members are accompanied beyond the death of the child to give grief a space.

The children’s hospice Sterntaler offers through the Neumühle in Dudenhofen near Speyer, idyllically located on the Woogbach, an oasis in the green, a place of joy and life, where people laugh as well as cry. The children’s hospice includes eight rooms for the young patients, the farewell room and the retreat room for the mourners, and a room for aroma care. Additional family rooms are available for relatives during their stay. With the aim of relieving the entire family, for rest and regeneration, the hospice offers the possibility of leaving care as well as medical care in their hands. Their multi-professional care team is supported and reinforced by psychologists, educators, grief counselors and volunteer family companions.
There is also a close cooperation with clinics, SAPV teams and nursing and social services.
